Hello

I was told by email someone got an backup error and I gotta reply something
to him, what reasons can there be for this error? All services are running
and disk isnt full

SQL Server Scheduled Job 'Transaction Log Backup Job for DB Maintenance Plan
'Backup All Databases'' (0xE09A5EC5A9A4CE4C859FA208632D02D8) - Status:
Failed - Invoked on: 2006-02-17 00:00:00 - Message: The job failed. The Job
was invoked by Schedule 2 (Schedule 1). The last step to run was step 1
(Step 1).

There has to be a more detailed error description, this one is telling
you nothing, Look at the particular step of this Maintanance job. As
the maintainance wiurad is creating jobs for all the work which is done
with him, there should be more error descriptions. See if the jobs have
a log purged out, can be found on one tab of the Job step.

Jens,

I dont see a step in there, it all looks fine under Database Maintanence
Plans, it's a job that backs up all databases.... not sure where to look

Configure the maint plan to create a report file and check that report file for the actual error
message.
