I have a new assignment to rewrite some Extended Stored Procedures using
..Net integrated into the CLR. Are there any good books that can help me with
CLR integration in SQL Server 2005?

I have not found any book that is published solely on SQL/CLR, but the
following one has one chapter devoted to SQL Server 2005 and .NET
integration (1. What is the .NET framework; 2. .NET framework integration;
3. SQLCLR integration examples).

Haven't read it, but seems OK :-). You still working at 3M (it was 3M
wasn't it)? If so, how about another class? :-)

Look at "A Developer's Guide to SQL Server 2005" from Bob Beauchemin should
be available this week, I was told April 22, it has what you need.

+1 on the book, but the official publication date is 5/16. I know Bob wants
it out sooner, though :)

Thanks!

Hi all,

Thanks for noticing. They "RTM'd" the book this week, and told us "last week
of April" for expecting to see it. They haven't changed the date on the
website (theirs or anyone else's) though. Par for the course... so it will
be around "soon".

Cheers,
Bob Beauchemin

And it should be mentioned that the book's authors are Dan Sullivan and me.
We both groused at them to get the book out sooner. ;-)

Cheers,
Bob
