How Many Normal Forms Are There?

I could swear that I once read that there were 12+ normal forms, with most
of them theoretical. I can't seem to find the document and maybe I'm
confused about what I'm remembering.

So, can someone tell me how many normal forms have been somehow defined (or
"proposed" if that even makes sense)?

Thanks!

Different authors have different counts. I would recommend a good book, esp.
ones by C J Date or T J Theorey to learn the important ones.

Internet is a bad place to learn data fundamentals like normalization since
many who writes them simply misinterpret the subject to begin with, not to
mention the difficulty is separating chaff from anything of real worth.
