How to stop sqlservr.exe........

Bpk. Adi Wira Kusuma

When I connect Internet, I watch on Taskmanager that sqlservr.exe seldom
over work and Cannot be stoped.

Now, I ask to u, Why does sqlservr.exe seldom over work? Or What is its
causing? And How to stop it? Because it can make my connection internet be
busy. So amount of bytes (send/receive) will go up fast.

Give me solutions?

The most likely cause of these symptoms is that you are running SQL Server
2000 and have not applied SP4 (or SP3a). Consequently, your SQL Server
instance is vulnerable to the slammer worm that causes excessive CPU and
network traffic.

I suggest you apply SP4 as soon as possible.

Hi,

What is the SQL Server version and service pack you are using ? If it is SQL
Server 2000 and if you do not have SP4 installed then install
SP4 (service pack) and see if the issue gets solved..
