Dear folks,

I'm trying to install sql2k into a workstation which have installed XP Home
but the wizard is complaining telling that only clients tools will be
installed and the server ones must be remote.

Does anyone know how do I for avoid this?

Thanks a lot for your thoughts,

Hi

SQL Server 2000 Evaluation Edition and Developer Edition and Workgroup
Edition should be installable on XP home, but SQL Server 2000 Enterprise
Edition and Standard Edition can not.

See http://www.microsoft.com/sql/evaluation/sysreqs/2000/default.mspx

Only the Personal, Developer or Workgroup Edition server will install on
Windows XP. Standard or Enterprise require a server OS. You didn't specify
what edition you are trying to install. If you have Standard or Enterprise
you should also find Personal Edition in the same package but probably on a
separate disc.
